Ralph Earwood Memorial Nature Trail/Kinney-Mohr Trail is a paved walking path lined with trees of just over 1 mile located on 13.5 acres in Lohrville. It is mostly located on an abandoned railroad bed and is continually expanding. No hunting allowed.
Among the many amenities at Twin Lakes State Park, visitors can explore an approximately seven-mile multi-use trail around the lake by foot or bike.
The North Racoon River flows right through Calhoun County, offering opportunities for paddling and fishing. The trail is home to many birds, including pheasants, sparrows, and bluebirds. In the larger woodlands along the trail, paddlers may spot deer, raccoons, opossums, and more — perfect for wildlife watching! River access is available at Racoon River Wildlife Area and Rainbow Bend. View the Iowa DNR map for full details.
