The census tract in Calhoun County including Rockwell City, Pomeroy, Jolley, and unincorporated areas has been selected as one of the 62 Iowa census tracts nominated for Opportunity Zone designation by the Office of Governor Kim Reynolds and Iowa Economic Development Authority.
“We are excited to see how the Opportunity Zone program and our designation can help spur funding for new and existing projects in the qualifying census tract communities and area, and we are hopeful that it can also be a catalyst to inspire development and other projects in nearby areas of Calhoun County," says Jill Heisterkamp, executive director of Calhoun County Economic Development.
