Leadership Calhoun is a program which aligns with the 2024 Calhoun County Economic Development Strategic Plan, specifically focusing on community development and capacity building. Leadership Calhoun will engage up to 14 adult professionals in a nine-month series of immersive, one-day sessions, covering key topics such as:
Through interactive discussions, facility tours, and networking with local and state leaders, participants will gain firsthand insight into Calhoun County’s economic and social landscape. Additionally, the cohort will collaborate on a community service project to foster lasting impact.
Program Details:
Sessions will take place in various locations across Calhoun County and Iowa, including Twin Lakes, Lake City, Manson, Rockwell City, Fort Dodge, Des Moines, and Farnhamville. Participants will also have the option to attend a National Government Block trip to Washington, D.C., in September 2026.
